The Ontario Genealogical Society - Ottawa Branch invites you to join Phil Donnelly as he speaks about the “These Old Walls” project. These Old Walls is a project with the goal of identifying and learning the stories behind the modest homes of our ancestors who settled in the Ottawa Valley. If only old walls could talk, then what stories we might learn! Saturday, December 6th from 1:00-3:00pm. City of Ottawa Archives, 100 Tallwood Drive (Room 226). All are welcome. Admission is free. Genealogy: Back To Basics

Starting in January 2015, Ottawa Branch OGS will present a genealogical education session prior to the monthly program. Genealogy: Back To Basics will include a short lecture on a genealogical topic, followed by a Question and Answer session with Ottawa Branch members. If you are new to family history research or need a refresher, come out and join us.

The first session will be Saturday 24 Jan 2015 at 10:30am in Room 115 of the City of Ottawa Central Archives. The presentation should last about 45 minutes and will be followed by a general Q&A session on genealogical topics until noon. Coffee and tea will be available throughout the morning.

There is no charge for the session and all are invited to return at 1:00pm for the monthly presentation with Elizabeth Kipp talking about One Name Studies.
