Ottawa Branch Events on January 23rd
Join the OGS Ottawa Branch for two events on Saturday, January 23rd!
In the morning from 10:30am-12:00pm it's “Genealogy: Back To Basics,” a short discussion on a family history topic followed by a Q&A session with Branch members. This month Romaine Honey will be talking about Ottawa Public Library resources.
Then join us from 1:00pm-3:00pm for our monthly presentation. Stephen Morin will be sharing the story of “Alex Potvin and the Ottawa Fire Department.” Learn about Alex’s heroic career from 1892-1936 as one of the earliest members of the Ottawa Fire Brigade and Ottawa's first Fire Inspector.
All are welcome, both events are FREE and will be held at the City of Ottawa Archives, 100 Tallwood Drive (Room 115).
