I'm trying to find out anything you may have on the two following servicemen. One is William Gerard Lang of the world war two postal corp or hockey. His designation was sergeant CPC (postal corp) I.D. number 60211. Also, Stuart Paul of the HMCS Prince Robert (CODER) navy vessel. My mother and family are celebrating a 90th birthday of their brother soon. All of the 8 brothers and sisters are alive, and the youngest is approx. 80 years old. If you have anything about Vincent Sloan, the birthday boy from Ottawa, that would be absolutely great as well. Any site that I could find more info. would be much appreciated. May we all see longevity such as this family. My name is Stephen Lang, and my mother is Mary Monica Lang. She was born in Ottawa, and had us and lived in Waterloo Ontario. Dad,(William), (Bill), was well known in the Siskins hockey team, Father Dave Bauer, and The Kraut Line back in the day. Anything you recommend would be helpful.
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance,
Stephen Lang
I'd suggest that you try the Inquiries page of Ottawa Branch OGS at http://ogsottawa.on.ca/home/research/genealogical-inquiries/ and leave them your contact information so that they can get back to you. You could also go to the website at Library & Archives Canada: http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/genealogy/022-909-e.html but that may require hiring a researcher: http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/freelance-researchers/Pages/freelance-researchers.aspx
